Scope

What we do and what we do not do.

The scope of motion design is determined by where it is used and the number of formats; we write these down from the start.

Included

  • Logo animation and motion idea development
  • Video intro, outro and lower-third graphics
  • Motion graphics design for social media
  • Explainer animations with icons and typography
  • Adding sound effects or licensed music
  • Delivery in horizontal, vertical and square formats
  • File with transparent background on request

What we don't do

  • We do not make work that imitates other brands' logos or animations
  • We do not use unlicensed music, fonts or images
  • We do not produce long cartoon productions based mainly on character animation
  • Redrawing a logo that has no vector file is not included in this service; it is planned separately
Logo file

A vector file of the logo is needed for a high-quality animation. If you only have a low-resolution image, the logo may first need to be redrawn.

Guide

What are logo animation and motion graphics, and how are they prepared?

A logo animation is a design that makes a brand's logo appear on screen in a short moving scene. Motion graphics is a type of animation that tells a message or information by moving typography, icons, shapes and colors. Both carry a brand's static identity into moving media such as video, social media and screens.

What are logo animation and motion graphics for?

A short logo animation at the start or end of a video reminds the viewer whom the content belongs to. Using the same opening and closing in all videos creates a consistent brand image across channels. A good logo animation is short, simple and suited to the brand's character: a measured, balanced motion may be preferred for a corporate company, a more energetic language for a young brand. The animation should not change the logo itself; it should explain it through motion.

Motion graphics is not limited to the logo; it is most often used in these areas:

  • Video intro and outro: Openings and closings of YouTube, educational content and promotional films.
  • Lower thirds and titles: Name-and-title graphics in interviews, section titles and transitions.
  • Explainer videos: Step-by-step explanation of a service, an application or a process.
  • Social media: Animated announcements, information cards and transition effects in vertical format.
  • Screen displays: Brand animations played in a loop at trade fairs, stores and events.

How is it prepared?

The process starts with a brief. Where the animation will be used, who will watch it and the brand character are discussed; examples you like and dislike are shared. Next, the motion idea is developed: questions such as how the parts of the logo will come together, from which direction they will arrive, and at what speed and rhythm they will move are clarified with frame drafts or a short preview. Once the idea is approved, the animation is produced, the timing and transitions are fine-tuned and, if wanted, sound effects or licensed music are added.

  1. The vector logo file and brand colors are collected.
  2. The places of use and the required formats are listed.
  3. The motion idea is submitted for approval as a draft.
  4. The animation is produced and revisions are made.
  5. The files are delivered as separate versions for each medium.

Delivery formats and technical matters

The same animation needs different ratios in different places. A horizontal version may be needed for YouTube and the web, vertical for Reels and TikTok, and square for some social media feeds. For animations that will be overlaid on other videos, a file with a transparent background may be requested. The logo's vector file matters for animation quality; if there is only a low-resolution image, the logo may first need to be redrawn cleanly. Checking the license status of the fonts and music used is also necessary to avoid copyright problems later.

The file type at delivery also varies by use. High-quality video files may be preferred for animations to be used in video editing software, compressed files suited to the platforms for those to be shared directly on social media, and smaller formats for a light motion on a website. Listing the files that are needed at the brief stage reduces the need for re-exporting after delivery.

Qualities of a good animation

What determines quality in motion design is not the number of effects but whether the motion is meaningful. If a part of the logo refers to the brand's story, the animation can bring it forward; for example, the shape of a letter, the direction of a symbol or a color transition can be the starting point of the motion. In timing, smooth acceleration and deceleration look more natural than abrupt, mechanical movements. It is also important for the animation to end with the logo remaining on screen in its full and legible form for a while, so that the viewer recognizes the brand.

Another criterion is consistency. When the logo animation, intro, outro and lower third are designed with the same motion language, a brand system emerges. This system can also be used in videos prepared later; reusing the same pieces instead of designing from scratch for each new piece of content saves time and gives your channels a recognizable look.

Online work and on-site meetings

Since logo animation and motion graphics do not require physical shooting, they can run entirely online. The briefing is held by video call, drafts and previews are sent via shared links, feedback is written with timecodes and the files are delivered online. This lets us work from anywhere in Turkey. To get through the revision rounds efficiently, it is important that feedback is gathered in one person and reflects your team's shared view; conflicting comments from different people can prolong the process. We also recommend watching the drafts on different devices, especially on a phone, because a large part of the animation will be seen on small screens. With businesses in Sakarya and the surrounding area, we also hold the briefing and presentation meetings on site if you wish.

Common mistakes

  • An animation that is too long: Viewers do not want to wait through a long logo show at the start of every video.
  • Motion that does not fit the brand: Adding overly lively effects to a corporate identity can blur the perception of the brand.
  • A single format: An animation prepared only horizontally gets cropped or looks small in vertical videos.
  • Over-reliance on ready-made templates: Template effects that are widely used make it harder to set your brand apart from other content.
Note: Logo animation is based on your existing corporate identity. If your identity is being renewed, we recommend planning the animation after the new logo is final.

Good to know.

Can't find your answer? Message us on WhatsApp; online support is open 24/7.

What files are needed for a logo animation?
The most important is the logo's vector file, accompanied by the brand colors and, if there is one, the corporate identity guide. If there is no vector file, the logo may first need to be redrawn.
How long should a logo animation be?
Short is recommended, because viewers do not expect a long opening at the start of every video. We decide the exact length together at the motion idea stage according to where the animation will be used.
Can we also get the animation in vertical format for social media?
Yes. We prepare the animation as horizontal, vertical and square versions. If it will be placed over other videos, we can also deliver a file with a transparent background.
Are music or sound effects added to the animation?
Depending on your preference, we add sound effects or licensed music. We do not use unlicensed music; we can also deliver a silent version.
What is the difference between motion graphics and a promotional film?
A promotional film is based on video shooting with real venues and people. Motion graphics is animation designed with typography, icons and shapes. The two can also be used together; for example, the opening and lower thirds of a promotional film can be prepared with motion graphics.
Does the process run entirely online?
Yes. The briefing, draft presentation, revisions and delivery run online, so we can work from anywhere in Turkey. In Sakarya and the surrounding area we hold the briefing meeting on site if you wish.
